About Isabel Blamer

I currently work at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Compensation Project Manager with a focus on international work. In this role, I build and maintain relationships with my fellow business and HR partners around the globe to deliver valuable compensation services. As a team player, I\'ve spent the past two years standing up our global compensation function within Liberty\'s Global Total Rewards department. I\'ve helped develop and maintain processes and norms that ultimately allow us to maintain successful relationships with our partners. In addition, my global compensation experience has led me to become a key resource to those on our team who are new to global bodies of work. I really enjoy helping others learn something new. I began my career at Liberty in the Human Resources Development Program. In this program, I formed a foundational understanding of the Human Resources field. Through my various HR experiences thus far, I have gained knowledge, skills, and capabilities that will help me build and navigate my business career. I began building this career as a student at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Human Resources and Strategic Communication. These majors allowed me to continuously develop my abilities to identify problems and implement solutions. My personal and professional passions include: hospitality and event planning, city development and growth, recruitment and selection, writing and editing, time management, entrepreneurship, running, spinning, and traveling. In the future, I plan to pursue my MBA with a focus in management and/or entrepreneurship. I also dream of opening my own small business and being a business professor one day. In each of these areas of interest, I embody my strengths of Responsibility, Achiever, Discipline, Harmony, and Competition (Gallup).
