About Isabel Gutierrez

As a first-generation college student, I have navigated the past three and a half years with openness and curiosity. My academic and professional experiences have deepened my passion for legal procedures and finding techniques to improve work environments, client relations, and legal work. With my research expertise, both professionally and academically, I have evaluated psychological and sociological issues, conducting studies ranging from determining relationships between self-esteem and friendships, to examining the impact of financial stressors on previously incarcerated individuals. I have developed effective writing and presentation techniques to explain data, collaborate with peers, and analyze findings through various programs to reach meaningful conclusions. Through my hands-on involvement, I have gained knowledge in the customer service industry, strengthened my communication skills through various outreach methods, worked with a diverse range of clients providing counseling through volunteer work, and improved my data collection and analysis skills. I am eager to grow my experience and develop new skills pertaining to Psychology and Criminal Justice, with opportunities to showcase my abilities while exploring innovative approaches.
