ABOUT ISABEL DOWBIGGIN
After six years working as an Executive Assistant supporting CEOs with all manner of priorities and projects, from international conferences to business trips to office relocations, I realised that my superpowers were getting people to do stuff (“persuasion”), figuring out who should do what (“resourcing”) and when (“scheduling”) and making plans to *get stuff done*My breakthrough project role was at CMR Surgical where i spent four years in a variety of different roles (wherever the business needed my firefighting skills the most was where I went!). I had a stint in the servicing team before being deployed into the manufacturing line to ensure the first four production systems for customers were on time and ready to go! Once we’d unleashed these into the world, I settled into iterative and new product development project management, leading the charge on electro-surgical robotic instrument projects. In 2023, big changes came to CMR and I decided it was time to turn my hand to another disruptive tech sector - quantum! Having thought it would be impossible to find a technology more disruptive and “cool sounding” than surgical robotics, I was happily proved wrong when I discovered the weird and wonderful world of quantum networks….Stay tuned for the rest of my story
