ABOUT SAAD BASHIR

As a Machine Learning Scientist at Ground Truth Labs, I lead the design and development of machine learning systems that power digital biomarker discovery and diagnostic quality control in computational pathology. My work spans from research and experimentation to deployment and internal tooling, supporting scalable AI pipelines in real-world healthcare settings.I’ve taken ownership of initiatives that- Deliver robust quality control models to ensure diagnostic reliability- Enable automated biomarker inference from histopathology images- Build internal ML infrastructure and tooling to accelerate team workflowsI collaborate across multidisciplinary teams of pathologists, engineers, and data scientists to translate complex biomedical problems into actionable AI solutions. I’ve shipped multiple end-to-end systems in both academic and industrial contexts, with a strong focus on performance, reproducibility, and cross-team usability.My foundation includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, where I specialized in computational pathology and deep learning.
