I took my first flight in my uncle\'s homebuilt airplane at age 14 and I\'ve been riding that high ever since. I\'ve also spent the first 13 years of my career as a writing and editing professional in both publishing and corporate settings.    I\'ve loved zoos ever since I was a little kid, and it had been my dream to work at one for a long time. I\'d been an LA Zoo member for years and finally worked up the holiday spirit to apply for a part-time job doing Zoo Lights and other special events. It\'s so fun being able to connect with visitors and see the magic that a place like the LA Zoo can create.What\'s been extra great is being one of the leaders of the ticketing call center. I\'m really able to dial in on people\'s needs and help them make a little extra magic happen. The holidays are stressful enough and I\'m there to help people with rescheduling, group purchases, gift-giving, and other questions they might have. I really enjoy working with people whose needs are a little more complex, because they all appreciate it the most!
