About Irshad Gehlot
My name is Irshad Gehlot and I am a senior software developer with 14+ years of experience. I started my career as a C# Dot NET developer and implemented object-oriented programming concepts. I also designed software modules using various design patterns. Then, I moved on to Big Data Hadoop technologies which include HDFS, Map Reduce and Hive. From there I got into advanced batch job processing tasks and leveraged my skills with Apache Spark. These Big Data technologies work well with programming language Python, and I am proficient in using it.In one of my professional projects, I worked to analyse huge volume (hundreds of GBs) of data of tickets from client’s ticketing system (ITSM) using python and apache spark. I automated the data extraction process which improved productivity by 35% as most of the time was spent on extraction process in the whole journey analytics.In another professional project, I worked on integration of data from various heterogeneous systems of the client using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake and Azure Blob.
