About Ian P. Rowe
I\'m a University of Kentucky Computer Science major, bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong passion for technology that started with a Python bootcamp in 2019. My experiences have been marked by continuous learning and leadership, notably as a Microsoft Azure Trainer. I\'ve empowered students in Costa Rica and Washington D.C. with Azure skills, which reflects my commitment to education and technological progress. Currently, I am engaged in a cutting-edge research project under Professor A.B Siddique, focusing on unsupervised learning and conversational AI. This work involves programming with Python, Flask, Jinja, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to develop web interfaces that train machine learning models using natural language processing. This exemplifies my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. I have channeled my knowledge into other practical solutions, such as a cafeteria ordering app coded in Swift to improve efficiency during lunchtime in my high school community. My projects, visible on GitHub, including the cafeteria ordering app and a machine learning app for flower recognition, showcase my problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. Competitive programming further tests my abilities; I\'m proud of my participation in Xtreme’s international programming competition and NSBE\'s convention Hackathon. This experience, alongside developing websites for local entrepreneurs, underscores my technical skill set in programming languages and frameworks like Python, Data Structures, Numpy, and Flask. In pursuit of excellence, I actively participate in NSBE and SHPE, expanding my industry insights and connections. With each course, project, and extracurricular endeavor, I am preparing for a future in software development where I can contribute meaningfully. My current goal is to secure internships that will not only challenge me but also allow me to contribute my growing knowledge. I am excited about what the future holds and ready to make a positive mark on the industry.
