About Liz Martin
As a fifth generation Lancastrian and entrepreneur, I have deep roots and strong connections to my local community. I have a passion for helping others grow their businesses, participating on various boards (not for profit and for profit) and respect for land and its resources. For twenty-five years I owned and managed Martin Insurance Agency, Inc, scaling the business from a small agency of in premium volume to over $10 million. I was nominated for and awarded various business awards, and was appointed to three insurance companies\' leadership councils and advisory boards. I continue to manage Ironstone Spring Farm. my eighty-five acre grass-fed beef operation and horse boarding facility. With over 50 Black Angus breeding stock and 50 grow-out stock, I sell portions of high quality grass-fed beef directly to the consumer, selling out year after year. My extensive board experience entails knowledge of numerous businesses, economic development, local issues, microfinance, health care, social services, budgeting and financial oversight, strategic planning and collaboration.
