ABOUT IRMA SKAGGS

Update: As most everyone knows, two years ago, I was laid off during the peak of covid. Just when I thought I had hit a major professional set back; God nudged me to return to school ‘full-time’ and to return to ‘my true calling’: teaching! My mentor, Sabrina Park Melton taught me a lot about teaching in a public school setting and I’m very grateful for her time, wisdom, and advice. When she told me about this ‘teacher wish list’ via Amazon, to be honest, I doubted her idea would work. Maybe I was simply afraid or embarrassed about asking for help. As a modest and broke college grad, I listened to her and once again she was right! I am so incredibly grateful for the generous donations I have received in the last few days! My heart is overwhelmed, overjoyed, and my eyes have shed tears of utter joy. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”My first graders are incredibly lucky. It really does take a village to make an impact in the lives of children. I appr viste you taking this journey with me. I find myself at a sincere loss for words. May your investment be tripled in blessings from above. If you would like to join me on this new and exciting ride, please do. Your help will enrich the educational experiences of my future students. Below, I have posted my teacher wish list for review and consideration. There are still many much needed items to review and consider donating. Items range from $3.79 upward. A contribution iof any item, is truly needed, welcomed and appreciated. I also welcome positive thoughts and prayers.Best,Irma#firstyearteacher #educationforall #firstgrade #fall2022 #firstgradeteacher #ClearTheList #amazon #students #school #teaching #teacher #future #thankyou #investment #grateful #children
