ABOUT IRINA HUGHES CIAT

Highly motivated individual with a creative mind who always seeks to do better. I worked in the Architectural Industry for over 15 years, gaining experience and knowledge of all aspects of architecture, design and construction. Moving to a manufacturer over 8 years ago has given me incredible insight into the challenges faced within the supply chain and the construction industry. My role assists in the design and installation of contemporary facade systems and traditional brickwork construction. During my time at Ibstock there have been opportunities to gain experience brick slip systems, GRC and soffit detailing, and in addition legislation, sustainability, design and processes. The role has given me extensive experience in presenting and bringing forward many issues for discussion at forums, with particular emphasis on carbon, future homes standard and the building safety act.Having worked on many projects, I understand how important team work is for a successful project. My work ethic and motivation to succeed have led me to achieve a number of goals and targets. As the construction environment shifts I have effectively adapted to the changes through personal development and upskilling.
