Play lead role in the development and the reporting of annual budget totaling nearly $4.5 billion.Meet strict deadlines for the creation of the annual budget, multi-year plan and the respective supporting schedules.Lead a team of budget analysts to insure proper and timely handling of the annual budget development, multi-year plan, daily operations of the County and various fiscal projects. Maintain composure during fast-paced and stressful situations especially during the annual budget development cycle.Manage and report on a Countywide performance management software solution that links departmental performance to Nassau County goals and objectives.Track and analyze various County data such as sales tax, parks revenue, police overtime, red-light camera tickets, and moving violations within the performance management software.Prepare and present monthly expense and revenue projection reports. Manage and reconcile State and Federal grants.Manage and administer financial data for all financial reports. Review and approve purchase orders, requisitions, contracts and vendor claims when expedited at department head’s level.Review and approve all budget modification and additional appropriation requests.Review and analyze personnel requests to ensure all hiring requests are justified.Perform analysis on sales tax, local government assistance programs and resident tuition.Assist Project Manager in planning and selecting vendor for County’s new ERP system.
