ABOUT ISABELLE RESTREPO

To many, I had an unconventional childhood: I grew up in Miami, New York, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. Experiencing different cultures from such a young age shaped me to be the person I am today: a curious traveler with a love for learning. My childhood spurred a craving to join the World Bachelor in Business Program where my strengths have continued to flourish. I have applied my strengths throughout my academic studies and in my work experience. My openness to learn about new cultures enhanced my consulting project with a Peruvian non-profit. This curiosity enabled me to develop a deeper understanding of the non-profits situation, allowing my team and I to create stronger recommendations. My work experience as a consultant and my skills poise me for a career in consulting. My love for learning translates into my work as a tutor and volunteer tutor. I recognize that access to education is a blessing, and I want to help those around me maximize their education. I turn frustrations against school into enjoyment, which is why I have been a part-time tutor for 4 years. I teach all subjects to students of every age, which has ameliorated my communication and adaptation skills, for every student had a different need and different learning style. In my free time, I spend as much time as possible being outdoors in the fresh air. I like to walk, hike and play tennis whenever I can. If I am not being active, then I am trying to replicate Anthony Bourdain\'s life by traveling and trying the foods of different cultures. When I am unable to do so, I watch countless episodes of cooking shows like the Great British Bakeoff, The Chef\'s Table, and Parts Unknown by Anthony Bourdain.
