About Irene Hao
As a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Fordham University with a B.A. in English and Political Science, and a minor in Classics, I am currently seeking opportunities to apply my research, analysis, writing, and multimedia storytelling skills, whether that be in publishing, communications, law, government, non-profit, or media. I\'m passionate about how we use language to talk about and frame law and politics in media and everyday conversations and how that impacts our perspectives.I\'m eager to connect with current professionals in law, publishing, communications, non-profit, and/or with non-traditional career paths, and always want to learn more-I have print and digital journalism experience when I was the Fun & Games Editor for the Fordham Observer and Copy Editor for Stuyvesant Spectator. As a former Editorial & Production Intern at Girls Write Now, I am experienced in video editing, website design, and content creation. I also have experience in administrative and customer service support in various settings, from a Fordham IT Support Desk Assistant to a Barista at Gong Cha. I have conducted scholarly and web-based research and analysis as a Summer Research Assistant Fellowship; designed the content into a comprehensive format suited for my audience as an Editorial Intern and Private Tutor; and communicated that knowledge effectively, both written and verbal, to a diverse team.
