ABOUT IREM S.

Research | Behavioral Design | Turning Insights into ImpactI help organizations understand what users actually need—and turn those insights into products and experiences that work.My work sits at the intersection of user research, behavioral science, and data analysis. I\'m fascinated by how people make decisions, navigate complexity, and interact with technology—and how thoughtful design can shape better outcomes. What I do- Lead mixed-methods research projects combining large-scale quantitative studies with deep qualitative exploration- Apply behavioral design principles to understand how interface patterns, choice architecture, and feature design influence user behavior- Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations that inform product strategy and policy decisions- Build performance frameworks and evidence systems that demonstrate research impact and support decision-makingI\'ve worked across regulated environments, enterprise consulting, and fast-paced startups—which has taught me to adapt research approaches to different contexts while maintaining methodological rigor. Whether it\'s optimizing a platform\'s user journey, identifying friction points in complex systems, or designing studies that move from insight to action, I focus on research that drives meaningful change.Currently at Ofcom, I work at the intersection of user research, data analysis, and policy. I\'m part of the Behavioural Insights Hub analyzing how platform design patterns shape user behavior, while also working with large-scale datasets and evidence frameworks to inform online safety regulation. My role combines user research with data governance, platform analysis, and translating complex insights for policy stakeholders. Background: MSc from Oxford Internet Institute focused on user behavior and platform design, BA in Psychology from Columbia. Experience spans user research, behavioral analysis, data strategy, and evidence-based policy development.I\'m always interested in connecting with people working on challenging problems where understanding users deeply can make a real difference—whether that\'s in product development, service design, behavioral science, data strategy, or research that informs policy.
