BEI has equipped me with a diverse skill set in molecular biology and genetic engineering, particularly in gene manipulation and analysis. From gene cloning to gene coding, I possess a comprehensive understanding and proficiency in various techniques involving genetic material. I am adept at utilizing a wide range of kits, including DNA recovery kits, to extract and manipulate DNA effectively. Moreover, I have hands-on experience in planning and executing experiments, such as HCl hydrolysis, ethyl acetate partitioning, and Agrobacterium transformation with target genes. Additionally, my expertise extends to metabolite extraction for beta-ketoadipic acid quantification, lignin measurement, hot water pretreatment, and saccharification. Student at UC Berkeley majoring in Neuroscience. Currently, I am immersed in research endeavors within the Joint BioEnergy Institute\'s Feedstocks Division. My primary focus involves characterizing engineered plants to enhance soil carbon sequestration, particularly investigating bacterial root colonization of engineered sorghum lines releasing aromatics like 4-hydroxybenzoate and protocatechuate.
