I communicate with clients to obtain accurate histories and vitals. I also present estimates to clients. I assist in taking radiographs, restraining animals, administering medications subcutaneously and intramuscularly, drawing blood, running laboratory tests including CBC, Chem17, urinalysis, and ear and fecal cytology. I monitor animals under anesthesia and after procedures. I assist clients through the euthanasia process, and prepare animals for cremation. I also communicate with clients over the phone, and schedule appointments.

I am currently a second-year student at the University of Florida majoring in Animal Science on the pre-veterinary track with a strong passion for veterinary medicine. I am dedicated to expanding and diversifying my experiences. I enjoy working with a variety of animals, and I currently have experience working with dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, cows and horses. Additionally, I have experience working as a veterinary assistant in the ECC at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, as a kennel assistant in a veterinary clinic and volunteering in veterinary clinics to expand my skills. I am continually looking for large animal experience, and I am currently a veterinary assistant at UrgentVet.
