Ira G. Rosenstein is a partner in Morgan Lewis\'s Labor and Employment Practice and co-chair of the Individual Employment Litigation and Arbitration subpractice. Ira is a 1989 graduate of NYU School of Law and a 1986 graduate of Binghamton University and represents both large and small employers in employment disputes. Mr. Rosenstein is particularly known for his longtime representation of clients within the financial services industry, and is nationally known for his experience trying cases before FINRA,the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Ira started his legal career specializing in ERISA litigation and maintains a diverse practice, ranging from claims brought under the FLSA, and state law wage and hour class actions to discrimination disputes brought under Title VII and the New York State and City Human Rights Laws. He also regularly provides counsel on employment and labor issues and litigation related to executive compensation and the hiring or departures of senior executives or key employees. He is the longtime editor and author of the New York Chapter of BNA\'s Wage and Hour Laws and speaks regularly on the subject. Ira is deeply committed to pro bono activities and was a 2009 and 2010 recipient of the Pro Bono Service award issued by the Legal Aid Society of New York for his efforts on behalf of that organization and was awarded the annual service award by Bronxworks in 2012 for his continuing efforts on behalf of that large social services organization and a Cornerstone Award from Lawyers Alliance for New York in 2019. Ira is even more committed to his wife Elaine, also an attorney and their three children, David, a recent graduate of Washington University in St Louis, Abby, a junior at Syracuse University and Jonah a junior at Scarsdale High School.
