ABOUT IQAN FAHIM

I am an ACA-qualified professional currently working as a Financial Controller at Etex. I oversee the full finance function, from management reporting and budgeting to forecasting and cash flow management. I have introduced stronger financial controls, streamlined reporting processes, and improved the accuracy and speed of month-end close. By implementing more efficient systems and reporting tools, I have helped senior leadership make better, data-driven decisions. I also work closely with different teams across the business to drive performance improvements.Etex is a global leader in lightweight construction solutions, headquartered in Belgium since 1905 with 160+ sites in 45 countries. The company specialises in sustainable lightweight materials such as plasterboard, fibre cement, insulation, fire protection systems, and modular solutions—helping to build efficiently while reducing environmental impact.Before this, I worked as an Audit Assistant Manager at Forvis Mazars, global top 10 audit firm. I led on audits specialising in PE backed groups, owner managed and family owned business across a variety of sizes in both UK GAAP and IFRS. I was responsible for planning and delivering audit engagements, reviewing financial statements, designing audit procedures and developed efficiencies through effective use of Excel as well as integrating more innovative technologies. I also led on local digital training and was the local representative for a variety of D&I initiatives.
