About Ian Pilipski

Ian is an industry veteran with many years of accumulated knowledge, failures, and successes in software development and the video games industry. His longest tenure was with GSN Games and through acquisition Scopley as well. At GSN he was Sr. Technical Director overseeing GSN\'s premier social casino franchise, and later their flagship social solitaire game Solitaire Tripeaks.Prior to his work at GSN Games, he worked as a Principal Engineer on the critically acclaimed game Bioshock Infinite and was the Client Technical Director with 38Studios. At 38Studios he evaluated and implemented technology in all facets of the client development pipeline. He managed several direct reports and coordinated dependencies with other studio teams. Ian created a synchronicity between artists, designers, and engineers that allowed the project to thrive. Meeting deadlines and achieving goals ensured that the teams and project where on target to meet and exceed consumer and market expectations. Ian achieved this while maintaining a fully hands-on role in engineering in order to support and guide the client programming team for 38Studios\' flagship product. It also allowed him to make the most informed and educated decisions in regard to keeping the project agile, healthy, and on target.Previously a Senior Programmer with THQ\'s Kaos Studios he worked on two games entitled \"Frontlines\" and \"Homefront\". Ian was the instrumental force in driving all of the vehicle physics simulations and in implementing the network replication for the first ever 50 player multiplayer game on XBox 360. Ian graduated from Seton Hall University and NJIT with a dual degree of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.Ian, has also taught game development courses at Bloomfield college and has a distinguished work history which includes awards, contracts, and consulting with the following:Epic GamesZombieOmegaNickelFish DesignStyleStudio NASABMWMajor League BaseballA Round For AutismInternational COPD CoalitionDiscover The SmileUS Secret ServiceLas Vegas and Philadelphia\'s Sheriff\'s departments
