As a Family Engagement Coordinator, I build productive relationships that aid in enhancing students\' and families\' experience through improved communication and effectiveness. In addition to this, I am focusing on formulating sustainable district-wide family engagement plan aiming to involve every family in a child\'s educational journey. Applying my relationship-building skills, I collaborate with Equity Office members to plan and execute professional development models incorporating culturally relevant curriculum, instructional techniques, and assessment instruments. Moreover, I lead the K-12 Workstream of the New North DEI subcommittee, providing input to local and regional efforts and goals for diversity and inclusion.Key Contributions: Exhibited cultural humility while working with diverse district departments and school-level teams, including special education, technology, and behavior support, to promote effective teamwork. Enhanced graduation rates, promoted post-secondary education, and cultivated positive cultural identity within historically marginalized students and families by forging associations with community organizations to employ opportunities: Supported schools in boosting family and community engagement through timely and culturally-sensitive communication aimed at boosting student outcomes. Developed and presented growth opportunities for historically marginalized staff and allies that align with changing demographics: Liaised with the Communications/Public Relations Department to facilitate efficient communication with students and families. Chaired meetings with families and school administration to discuss concerns and encourage cooperation between school staff and parents to achieve issue resolution.
