ABOUT IPAN HIDAYAT
Holding a PhD degree at University of Vic, University of Central Catalunya and BETA Technological Center. This PhD project was part of REFLOW (Phosphorus recovery for fertilizer from dairy processing wastes) European Training project, which is funded by European Union´s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Action with grant agreement number 814258- Received a distinguished honor of Excellent Cumlaude. Holding a Master degree with a background in Environmental Sciences and Technology from internationally well-known Dutch University, Wageningen University. Having professional experiences in international institutions and companies, with good multilingual proficiency, multicultural sensitivity, and strength for being efficient to complete multi-task requirements. I started my professional research experience as thesis intern at WETSUS, under supervision of Dr. Renata van der Weidjen and Yang Lei as a Doctoral candidate, I collaborated in the development of a technology for resource recovery of domestic wastewater based on electrochemical methodologies. In parallel, I collaborated in other research projects related to the study of wastewater treatment in finding the fate of heavy metals during electrochemical phosphorus recovery. In the end, together with my supervisors, we published a journal titled \" Fate of calcium, magnesium, and inorganic carbon in electrochemical phosphorus recovery from domestic wastewater\". Subsequently, I continue my international research experience as a research intern in Electrochaea GmbH, placed in Munich - Germany. Under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Hoerl, we have focused on the design of PEM water electrolysis for hydrogen productions in high efficiency and cost-effectiveness. As part of the research and development (R&D) team, I also have focused on characterizing the effect of different cathode materials as well as feed solutions for hydrogen evolution reaction. Together with that, I had also to find the optimized conditions and compositions of selected cathode materials and feed solutions. Furthermore, at the end of the research, I successfully created a model of water consumptions during the electrolysis process for laboratory and commercial scale. In those years of professional research experience, I have participated in the European R&D project, dissemination actions and exposed by a multi-national work environment.
