About Justin Iovenitti
We all have a duty and the power to promote a more just society. As Senior Energy Engineer on New Ecology\'s Decarbonization team I work to conserve natural resources through high performance buildings.Our mission is to spread the health and environmental benefits of sustainable design. With an emphasis on housing, we assist design and contracting teams on new construction and rehabilitation projects to ensure that they produce resilient, safe habitats. We examine inefficient existing buildings to devise strategies to bring them up to current standards. We also monitor building systems to make sure the indoor environments we spend the majority of our time in are healthy and comfortable.New Ecology approaches the process of conceiving, constructing and managing buildings holistically to provide long lasting benefits. We’ve worked with prominent designers and developers up and down the East Coast, helping to reduce energy dependence and carbon emissions.

I work with owners, developers, designers and utility & local partners throughout the mid-Atlantic to enhance the built environment. With an emphasis on underserved communities, New Ecology conducts building system assessments and develops recommendations for energy efficient upgrades to systems, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, building enclosure, on-site generation, and other energy and water systems. My current focus is on decarbonizing existing multifamily building stock, and we have been successful in reaching 50% or greater site energy savings.
