Sacramento, CA, US
As the Assistant Vice Chancellor, I provide strategic and operational leadership in the administration and management of over $2.5B in annual state and federal funding (Carl D. Perkins, Technical Education Act of 2018, Proposition 98 dollars for Apprenticeship, Strong Workforce, K12 Strong Workforce, Nursing Program Support, California Adult Education) in support of Career and Technical Education programs across the 116 California Community Colleges. I manage the day-to-day operations of the Workforce and Economic Development Division, leading diverse and dynamic management, staff and technical vendor teams through system-wide, intersegmental, cross-unit and interdisciplinary program development, oversight and evaluation, policy development, technical support and process improvement efforts. I partner and collaborate with Higher Education stakeholders, Community College Districts; educational, state and federal agencies; industry partners; legislative and government entities; and other community constituents to provide insight and recommendations on current policy initiatives. I support the analysis of performance data to drive the state’s Career and Technical Education goals of aligning funding and policy with market demand and the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office Vision 2030 Goals.
