About Inyoung Kim

InYoung Kim, MD, PhD is a double board-certified dermatologist and micrographic dermatologic surgeon who practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with a holistic, innovative, and evidenced-based approach. Dr. Kim is also certified in Integrative Dermatology and is a holistic health coach.With a PhD in Immunology focusing on the gastrointestinal immune system, her practice reflects her belief that the gut plays a critical role in health and disease, including skin health.She is a co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Integrative Dermatology. This role allows her to maintain an academic rigor and stay up-to-date on dermatology literature and novel treatments. To deliver personalized and high-quality compassionate care, she is always learning and strives to employ various modalities of treatment- including complementary/alternative treatment, functional medicine, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, as well as the conventional approach. In alignment with her vision that medicine should be individualized and integrative, she completed the only formal training program available in integrative dermatology for board-certified dermatologists through Learnskin. Her research focus includes using florescence-guided imaging in nonmelanoma skin cancer treatment as well as improving wound healing after dermatologic surgery. A lifetime philanthropist, much of her free time is spent on contributing to medical missions and mentoring students as a leader for the Global Medical Mission Alliance.
