Under the guidance of experienced Business Development and Licensing professionals, assist with the daily operations and reporting of the Director of Physical Sciences Business Development & Licensing team at the Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) at Cornell University. Acquire an in-depth understanding of Cornell researchers and their potential technologies for commercialization, startups, and partnerships through meetings, seminars, and events. Develop the ability to evaluate the market potential of technologies in detail, such as size, competition, barriers, and trends, using market research and surveys of emerging technologies. Develop the capacity to execute tailored marketing strategies for chosen cases and coordinate efforts across different fields and disciplines. Help to create an innovative roadmap that supports IP protection, marketing, and portfolio prioritization to aid in the commercialization of technology or formation of startups. Assist CTL’s team with business development and agreements, such as negotiations and agreement drafting for chosen cases, and business plan strategies for portfolios.
