Innes is deeply motivated by the clean energy challenge and believes that data-driven decision-making is a crucial way to contribute to this cause. With a passion for the energy sector and a focus on producing impactful results through data analytics in renewable energy asset management, Innes aims to become a preeminent expert in this field.His educational journey began with an undergraduate MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aberdeen, followed by attending an MSc in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Glasgow. The next development phase was the completion of the REMS-CDT, in collaboration with Oxford University and Cranfield University. Innes spent three years at the University of Strathclyde, honing skills in big data and machine learning, and applying these to tackle asset management technologies for offshore wind.During his tenure at Ramboll, he progressed from an Asset Management Consultant to a Senior Asset Management Consultant, where he played a pivotal role in driving the digitization initiatives within Asset management. Innes participated in two research projects ROMEO and FlexiWind where he developed the Machine learning pipeline for Structural Health Monitoring for the Asset Management team. His work not only streamlined existing processes but also empowered the team to adopt innovative solutions.In his role at Vattenfall, he focuses on data analytics product development management for offshore wind power generation. His responsibilities include leading the creation and implementation of advanced analytics tools that optimized the performance and efficiency of wind farms. His work is at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and renewable energy, where he collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that supported Vattenfall\'s mission of enabling a fossil-free future.
