As a member of the leadership team at a large community food bank I manage staff and oversee an engagement program that welcomes volunteers annually. I create programs and initiatives to meet operational needs and deepen community support. Working closely with the development team, I ensure we foster relationships with a diverse set of partners including corporate groups, education institutions and civic organizations. I partner with the food bank’s policy and advocacy team to develop strategies for volunteers to support Census participation, voter engagement and other civic initiatives. During the Covid-19 pandemic I managed our disaster service worker program, created public safety protocols and ensured the successful reintegration of community volunteers to meet significantly larger operational needs.
