About Ingrid Carlson
Corporate strategy and international affairs professional with 20+ years of experience in intelligence and the private sector, combined with a passion for collaborating with others to create a more sustainable world. 12 years in the US intelligence community assessing fluid and volatile geopolitical and global issues and their impact on governments and societies. 9 years in the private sector working on corporate strategy, risk management, and long-term trends and threats analysis. My work focuses on how companies, in this complex global environment, can create economic growth and build value by understanding long-term global trends and critical issues. Other areas of my work include how to do this while also creating positive social impact, the risks of not doing so, and how companies, governments, and the civil sector can work together to create a more equitable, prosperous world. Recent publications include immigration equity as an important workforce strategy for companies, the importance of fixing our institutions to help rebuild social trust, how Africa’s resources have set it up for global economic and social leadership, and why (and how) bridging the youth digital and skilling divide are a business, as well as social, imperative. I love meeting others who are driving positive change in their corner of the world so if you’re working on something innovative and unique, I’d love to connect.
