The platform is built for regulated industries and emphasizes enterprise security, governance, and reliable AI execution at scale.Role: Senior Data Scientist / AI Research EngineerI lead the design and deployment of end-to-end agentic systems in production, operating at the intersection of AI research, distributed systems, and full-stack engineering, with a focus on healthcare.• Own architecture and technical direction for agent-driven systems, from model selection and agent design to infrastructure, deployment, and operations.• Design and implement custom AI agents and multi-agent workflows using LangChain, Temporal, and internal frameworks, integrating Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI models for planning, reasoning, and execution.• Build deterministic, long-running workflows with Temporal, enabling retries, human-in-the-loop steps, stateful execution, and auditability in regulated environments.• Architect and operate production backend systems (Python/FastAPI, Postgres, S3) that agents act upon directly.•Deployment and scaling on Kubernetes (EKS), establishing patterns for observability, reliability, and secure service-to-service communication.• Design AWS infrastructure end-to-end (IAM, networking, secrets, storage, monitoring) to support compliant, multi-tenant production workloads.• Drive the transition of agentic systems from prototype to live healthcare applications, now used by patients, nurses, and clinical staff.• Influence engineering practices around reliability, execution safety, and agent lifecycle management, shaping how AI systems operate in production.

My work blends generative AI, reinforcement learning, and automation, creating tools that push what’s possible with LLMs and agent-based architectures.Before diving into AI, I was an experimental astroparticle physicist, specializing in Monte Carlo simulations, detector physics, and emerging interdisciplinary field of neutrino geophysics—where I collaborated with geologists to explore the Earth\'s interior using neutrinos.I care about sustainability, equity, and making science and tech more accessible. I founded and secured the first grant funding for a Gender Minorities in Physics group and helped launch my department’s EDII committee at Queen\'s University. Still curious about quantum sensing, information processing, and how we can build better AI.
