ABOUT INGRID OAKLEY-GIRVAN
I am a scientist and public health professional with over 25 years of experience in epidemiology, genetics, oncology, biostatistics, and digital technology. I have a holistic perspective on healthcare and clinical trials that combines patient and data-driven approaches. With this mindset, I\'ve been a PI for many studies and trials, founded the Data and Technology Proving Ground at PHI, created a digital science team at Medable, secured multiple large funding rounds from NIH, and published over 90 peer reviewed primary papers. During my career I have successfully built new and highly functional teams, created pivotal strategic relationships across multiple disciplines, and consistently exceeded corporate and personal goals. As a former Peace Corps volunteer and current Search and Rescue member, I know how to stay focused, apply my knowledge to varied situations and motivate and empower both internal and external stakeholders. I sit on several boards, including a patient advocacy organization and am passionate about personalized wellness and finding solutions that work for everyone. I\'ve mentored numerous individuals, served as a trusted advisor to several entrepreneurial leaders, and was recently selected to help the Stanford High Impact Technology Fund and Program take innovative products from the lab to market. My mission is to accelerate medical innovation and data sharing to reduce disparities through collaborations. I focus on using digital data to promote precision health and create low-burden straightforward solutions. I have worked with NIH, SEER, CDC, DOD, pharmaceutical and technology companies, communities, advocacy groups, and patients to understand the differences in disease occurrence and outcomes across diverse groups, and to develop new measurement metrics and products. I am passionate about disrupting the status quo and seeking new solutions to improve health and wellness across the human lifespan.
