About Ingrid Gruener Luft
I am a recent graduate of Cornell University, where I earned a BS in Information Science from the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science and a BS in Communication and Technology from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), along with a minor in Law & Society. I completed my degree Summa Cum Laude and earned Distinction in Research through the CALS Honors Program. My senior thesis explored how platform policies and design features shape cybersecurity outcomes, particularly as they relate to child safety online. Throughout my time at Cornell, I remained committed to driving social impact and technological equity. As a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, I was honored with the Excellence in Leadership in Community Advocacy award. Earlier, I received the Silver Knight Award in Speech from the Miami Herald. I thrive at the intersection of technology and policy and I am especially driven to design systems that protect vulnerable communities online. I aspire to become a lawyer who ensures technology is used as a force for good.
