Girl Friday Productions is a global writing, editorial, and book production firm committed to high-quality editorial and transformative client relationships. With deep roots in traditional houses, Girl Friday\'s team partners with publishers and companies looking for distinctive editorial production and design services. We work with our partners from editorial concept through production and design, delivering finished files or printed books. Our teams are assembled to provide the best editorial, project management, design, and photo research for each particular client. We are happy to work with publishers on particular services or entire books or series. Established in 2006, GFP has worked on fiction and non-fiction books for both adults and children. Among our clients are HarperOne, Inkshares, Chronicle Books, National Geographic, the Seattle Great Wheel, Rodale, A&E History Channel, Sasquatch Books, Penguin, Mountaineers Press, and Boeing Company. Before co-founding Girl Friday Productions in 2006, I was the associate publisher of Seal Press, now an imprint of Perseus Books. A developmental editor of both fiction and non-fiction for nearly twenty years, I have worked on everything from parenting confessionals to Scandinavian thrillers to political bestsellers to scientific groundbreakers. I enjoy teaching almost as much as editing and have been an instructor for the University of Washington’s certificate program in editing for the past nine years. In addition to copiloting GFP as it evolves with the times, I have a deep-seated (and utterly surprising) love of spreadsheets—something that comes in handy in my role as CFO of GFP. Greater than my love of spreadsheets is a passion for our talented, delightful, and whip-smart Girl Friday team and for the many fabulous writers and organizations we get to work with on a daily basis. As a lover of words, I couldn’t be in a more exciting business at a more exciting and dynamic time.
