ABOUT NICOLA CLEMENTE

I graduated in 2014 in Mechanical Engineering (BSc) from the Polytechnic of Bari. I completed my studies in Management Engineering (MSc) from the Polytechnic of Bari (Feb, 2017). In the meantime, I was collaborating with Bosch (Bari Plant) on some Industry 4.0 related projects. From October 2021 I’m the F2PL key user and Change Agent for the SAP LEAN PROJECT (migration from ECC R/3 to S/4 HANA) From December 2018 I covered the role of material and production planner specialist in Merck Bari Plant, managing the fertility pen line. This role allowed me to interface with all business areas (warehouse, quality, production, packaging) in order to jointly take decisions that can best solve problems and make improvements. Previously (December 2016 - December 2018) I worked as Master data and Purchase operator in the Supply Chain Dept. In this position, my responsibility was to manage all the flow related to the creation and editing of codes in the ERP system and on the various platforms. I was also responsible for managing the flow related to the creation and updating of the bills of materials. From the point of view of Purchase activities, my duties included issuing purchase orders, scheduling the delivery dates with the vendors and warehouse, and verifying that these are respected day by day from all suppliers. I can best express myself in the area of optimization of processes and improvement of industrial business practices (following the Lean Production principles). My main field of interest are digitalization, project management and industrial logistics. In addition, I particularly emphasized the focus on system and data analysis (Business Process Management) and how it may provide guidance and improvement to an industrial process, especially related to the topic of Lean Production and digitalization.
