I search for hot water.\" is what I normally reply when I\'m asked about what I do for a living. Then I tell people that in order to tackle climate change we must keep fossil fuels in the ground and transform our energy system to clean and renewable sources. A major challenge will be the transition to a de-carbonized heat supply. I am convinced that geothermal energy will have to play a major part in this task and we should utilize geothermal resources wherever it is possible. I spend the better part of the last decade dedicating myself to that goal. Most of my daily work involves consulting of my clients during the early phases of geothermal project development. I am enthusiastic about combing different geophysical exploration methods from seismic over gravity to electromagnetics, but I also like to address geomechanical and geostatistical problems.
