WORK HISTORY
Principal Scientist, Hp Inc Laboratories, Projects in 3d Printing & Scanning @HP
Palo Alto, CA, US
METHODOLOGY TO QUANTIFY THE VISIBILITY OF CLEAR DENTAL ALIGNERS - Developed a set of methodologies to quantify the in-situ visibility of clear aligners once they are placed over the teeth of a person - tested and transferred the technology to the 3D BU - applied the method for process optimization of directly 3D printed transparent parts at HP Labs (collaboration with material scientists)* INSPECTION & METROLOGY OF 3D PRINTED METAL PARTS - Worked closely with HP-Labs\' 3D Metals team, addressing their geometric metrology needs for quality control and print & post-processing optimization by using an HP prototype 3D scanning system - achieved the required tolerances of +/- 0.1 mm for critical dimensions of prototype electrical switches, delivered a set of parts to a customer - tested the 3D scanning system for a specific application and provided feedback for functionality improvements* TOOLS FOR THE COLOR SPECIFICATION OF 3D PRINTED PARTS - invented, produced and tested color specification tools for designers - those physical 3D objects were also used to showcase the appearance and functional capabilities of 3D printed parts (marketing purposes)- Responsible for all color related issues of the \"HP Smart Stream 3D Build Manager\", a software package used by customers to preview and submit jobs to HP\'s 3D color printers* PRINT PROCESS OPTIMIZATION (APPEARANCE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES) FOR FULL COLOR FINAL 3D PRINTED PARTS - defined and evangelized company-wide measurement and characterization methodologies for the appearance of 3D printed parts - performed systematic experiments for print process optimization to achieve optimal appearance and mechanical properties for full color 3D printed parts* Demonstrated leadership though my contributions to the 3MF consortium (e.g, 3MF Material and Properties Extension Specification).
