ABOUT STEVEN EDWARDS MIHE
I am an infrastructure project and programme manager with 17 years’ experience in UK infrastructure development, particularly in the highways and rail sectors, and with respect to pre-construction scheme development. I am currently a Land & Property Programme Manager at HS2, managing various complex programmes including utility land rights, property valuation & acquisition and parliamentary select committee. Previously I have 14 years’ experience securing £100m funding towards local authority transport projects and strategies, including the £61m A454 active travel-based highways improvements programme, the £78m M6 junction 10 project, the £22m DSDA Access Project and the £3m A34 Red Route & Bus Showcase project.I have managed projects from inception to start of works, covering a wide array of the stages and work streams in typical UK highways project development, including: transport modelling, economic appraisal, business case development, environmental impact assessment (EIA), public consultation and stakeholder engagement, planning consent, and compulsory purchase order (CPO) including public inquiry.I am an excellent communicator with substantial experience of managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects and programmes working with a variety of partners and stakeholders across both the public and private sectors to time, cost and quality criteria.
