ABOUT INEMESIT WILLIAMS
Inemesit \"Ine\" Williams transitioned into the international education sector in 2004 after initially studying and working in the sciences. As a higher education practitioner and manager, she led efforts in cultural programming, exchange & study abroad program management, international student and scholar immigration advising services, and more. In 2020, Ine moved to Arizona to focus on supporting her family and relaunched her academic coaching & educational consulting service offerings remotely. That same year, she nurtured her interest in sustainability and collaborative organization by joining the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE) to focus on the intersecting global crises of climate change, racial injustice, and other social inequities. After a 3-year term on the CANIE global board and as co-chair of the Climate Justice Working Group in 2023. She also serves as an advisor for In Good Company (IGC), a climate justice-centered nonprofit based in San Diego, CA, and she is on the Board of Directors for the RISE Travel Institute. As a Climate Reality Leadership Corps alumna and mentor, Ine enjoys collaborating with community members to educate, build, and support climate action in her local Arizona area and beyond. She celebrated her Carbon Literacy Certification in early 2024 and became a certified Carbon Literacy Facilitator. She enjoys applying her climate skills to expand, normalize, and catalyze everyday climate justice conversations into community actions. As an Associate Executive Officer for the American Modeling Teachers Association (AMTA), Ine is honored to be able to support AMTA\'s incredible community, further their mission of providing professional development designed to help STEM educators implement the powerful Modeling Instruction™ methodology, and continue building on the power of non-profit organizations to drive meaningful change. She enjoys working with her family to develop intergenerational off-grid homesteads, is a big fan of language learning, and feeds her soul by spending as much time in nature as possible.
