About Ines Juhee S.
Ines\" Juhee Sohn is a Korean-English bilingual speech-language pathologist and researcher currently working in secondary schools. They were the inaugural graduate student in the University of Washington\'s M.S. Clinical Research Speech-Language Pathology program (class of 2024) and completed a thesis on bilingual code-switching and its potential links to child language development. They are a lifelong learner and are currently interested in multilingual/multicultural service delivery, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), language, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodiversity affirming approaches, learning disorders, literacy, functional cognition, gender-affirming voice therapy, oral-motor/feeding, and overall medically complexity. Thus far, Ines has had experience in settings such as a(n): elementary school, middle school, pediatric private practice, infant research lab, outpatient university clinic, and outpatient pediatric and adult hospital. As part of their work, they hope to improve heritage language retention among those with communication disorders and to mitigate disability stigma among Asian communities.
