Oversee the operations and strategic development of Advanced Research Computing (ARC) infrastructure and services, including high-performance computing and cloud, to support Atlantic Canadian research and industry clients. Build and lead a team of technical personnel (currently more than 15 direct reports), ensuring team satisfaction and retention by fostering a sense of community and effective communication. Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives in key areas such as cybersecurity, advanced computing infrastructure, research software, data management and training. Collaborate with industry players, including commercial cloud partners and Canadian HPC hardware vendors, to explore product integrations that benefit our customers. Represent ACENET on the national Council of Chief Technology Officers to coordinate technical activities and operational management within the Digital Research Alliance of Canada (Alliance) Federation.
