Basecamp Research is a London-based start up using computer science and biology to learn from nature to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future. My role as a field research scientist is to lead international field expeditions, sampling and sequencing environmental DNA from biodiversity hotspots around the world. Furthermore, together with my colleagues I develop scientific collaborations to increase bioliteracy, including the use of portable DNA sequencing methods, to further understanding of biodiversity.
