ABOUT BRIAN LAUNG AOAEH
Startup founders; Fill the \"Pitch Us\" data-intake form at walked 181 miles in September 2024 - failing to hit my target of 200 miles. Then I walked 363 miles in October. I\'ll try to walk 600 miles in one month in Fall 10 years in investment management, 8 of which were spent building a venture fund from scratch - 2 Funds,$98M of AUM, and 51 investments; In 2018 I realized I want to spend the rest of my life investing in the software and information infrastructure that will enable and facilitate innovation and transformation in global, industrial supply chains and value chains. Human activity is causing climate change. All human activity is driven by supply chains. We can’t solve the climate crisis until we refashion global, man-made supply chains so that they cause less harm to the environment. This will require a transformation of unprecedented scale in how the world\'s industrial networks, platforms, and ecosystems work. That is why we are building The New York Supply Chain Meetup. That is why we are building The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation. That is why we are building REFASHIOND Ventures - The Industrial Transformation Fund: to invest in the early-stage startups creating technology innovations to refashion global supply chains; Now at 71 startups and counting in our inaugural investment vehicle.I am happiest when I am thinking about and trying to solve ill-defined problems - wicked problems. I am abnormally enthusiastic about the research process that leads me to develop answers to such problems. I think of myself, first and foremost, as a research analyst who seeks solutions to problems centered on Industrial Systems Engineering & Transformation and Supply Chain Innovation & Technology; Solutions that can be implemented and scaled outside the research lab. Investing is how I monetize my research on behalf of investors in our fund.I am curious, open-minded, flexible, and adaptable. I have an obsession for mechanical pencils. I never say no to a cup of coffee. I am not afraid to be different, and I embrace uncertainty. I am not afraid of ambiguity.I have only one goal: To become a trusted and well regarded early-stage investor for founders building innovative technology to refashion global supply chains and transform critical industries.#TWSCF | The past ran on supply chains. The present runs on supply chains. The future will run on supply chains. The world is a supply chain.®#ResearchAllTheThings #LearnAllTheThings #SupplyChainsForTomorrow #ObsessiveEnthusiasm
