Environmental Compliance & Sustainability | Mining OperationsLead environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives across 13 active and 3 inactive mining sites. Collaborate with federal and state agencies (USEPA, IDEM, IDNR, ACOE) and industry associations (IMAA, NSSGA) to ensure compliance and drive industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Manage comprehensive environmental programs including air permitting, waste management, NSPS compliance, NPDES (wastewater and stormwater), drinking water, floodway construction permits, and wetland delineations.Develop and implement SPCC, and mine reclamation plans; prepare and submit award applications recognizing environmental excellence.Conduct site audits and manage environmental and sustainability projects from concept through execution.Deliver environmental training for plant personnel, contractors, and onsite customers to ensure compliance and foster a culture of environmental stewardship.Oversee compliance for onsite concrete and asphalt producers operating on leased mine site property.Collaborate with land management teams to create mining and reclamation plans and support land acquisition efforts.Utilize aerial drone surveys, GIS mapping tools, and data systems to guide environmental planning and reporting.
