ABOUT INDU GOPALAKRISHNAN
I started my career as a Product Manager for Designing and Marketing Energy Derivatives in 2006 when the space was at its nascent and rapidly growing phase. That was my first brush with Financial Markets and its products and I soon found my calling in the world of Forex Trading. I started my journey in FX Trading as an interbank trader for my home currency pair the USD/INR and in the span of next decade and a half have worked with organizations working not just as a interbank and prop trader of G7 currencies and USD/INR but have also had the experience of modernizing the dealing room of a century old financial Institution as well as being part of new age bank in its path of transformation. The latter gave me another rare experience - that of setting up a Forex Trading desk from scratch -from getting in systems processes, counterparty limits and have witnessed the place grow leaps and bounds from its humble beginnings. I have temporarily hung up my trading boots and have stepped into the most important aspect of Banking - The Asset Liability Management Team in my bid to expand my knowledge horizon and skill set and to also use my existing skillset in a different scenario
