VLSI & FPGA Engineer | Adaptive Optics | Laser Beam Control for FSO SystemsI am an M.Tech student in VLSI & Embedded Systems at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, with a strong foundation in digital electronics, RTL design, FPGA development, and embedded systems, complemented by hands-on work in photonics-driven signal processing and control.My current work focuses on laser beam wavefront correction for free-space optical (FSO) systems, where I develop FPGA-oriented control and signal-processing pipelines for adaptive optics. This includes Shack–Hartmann wavefront sensing, tomographic reconstruction, deformable mirror control, and quantitative beam-quality validation using metrics such as RMSE and Strehl ratio. Through this, I have gained system-level exposure to laser beam propagation, optical aberrations, and real-time correction loops.The low-power design principles explored in my work directly influence my current FPGA-based adaptive optics and laser beam control systems, where efficient hardware implementation is essential for real-time FSO applications.From a VLSI and hardware perspective, I have hands-on experience in RTL design, verification, and FPGA implementation, as well as ASIC design flow (RTL-to-GDSII) using industry-standard EDA tools. I am comfortable working across Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, and hardware-oriented modeling in MATLAB.My interests lie at the intersection of hardware and photonics — particularly in FPGA/ASIC-based control, signal processing for optical systems, adaptive optics, and laser-enabled communication platforms. I am motivated to work in environments where hardware design, real-time systems, and applied physics come together to solve complex engineering problems.I am open to opportunities in VLSI design, FPGA/ASIC development, laser systems engineering, adaptive optics, and photonics-driven hardware systems.
