ABOUT INDRANIL MITRA

I don\'t just advise on AI — I\'ve spent 27 years building the infrastructure of thought that makes AI decisions trustworthy. Partner, AI & Gen AI | PwC India. PhD. FRSA. F-RSS (UK). Research Supervisor. And, increasingly, what colleagues call the AI Whisperer — someone who translates between the ambition of leadership and the reality of deployment. My work sits at a rare intersection: deep quantitative rigour (statistics, decision science, machine learning) meets board-level strategy. At PwC India, My deep focus is in the firm\'s AI and generative AI practice — designing the frameworks, the deals, and the narratives that help India\'s most consequential organisations move from AI experimentation to AI authority. What I actually do: Architect AI strategies for enterprises across manufacturing, financial services, pharma, and government — with a focus on what scales, not just what demosLead cross-domain Gen AI engagements where the hard problems are governance, economics, and trust — not just model selectionSupervise doctoral researchers pushing the boundaries of hybrid AI frameworksDesign AI literacy curricula for the next generation — from engineering students to school-age learners across India\'s northeast I\'m a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts — affiliations I take seriously as signals of rigour and responsibility, not just credential decoration. My conviction: Most organisations are confusing AI activity with AI authority. The gap between the two is where strategy lives — and where I work. If you\'re thinking about AI at the level of firm-wide transformation, research collaboration, or building something that actually lasts — let\'s talk.
