About Indi Ekanayake
I am a Project Lead and People Manager at Transcend Education where I support schools and systems in adopting the Whole Child Model, a research backed framework that strengthens academic outcomes and engagement while countering the effects of exclusionary discipline policies. I have had a wide variety of roles across the education sector - spanning teacher, instructional coach, school admin, and nonprofit program manager. Throughout these experiences I have seen the power of centering well-being for children and adults in strengthening school communities.I hold a B.S. in Health Management from The Ohio State University and an M.S. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania. I currently serve on the board of Groundwork Ohio River Valley, the Cincinnati Public Schools Parent Advisory Council, and the Bramble Nature Campus LSDMC. Through all of my work, I am committed to helping communities get stronger and more connected.
