As Founder of the Delaware Sensory Museum & Experience (DSM), I am leading the vision, development, and launch of Delaware’s first interactive sensory museum and inclusive play facility—created specifically for neurodivergent children, their families, and the communities that support them.DSM was born out of my personal journey as an autism mom and my deep commitment to reshaping the way we view sensory needs, accessibility, and inclusive learning.My work includes:• Leading a multi-phase capital campaign with a $3.6M fundraising goal• Securing and renovating our facility in the heart of Wilmington• Overseeing design and development of immersive sensory rooms and play zones• Building strategic partnerships with certified autism specialists, therapists, educators, and community leaders• Launching DSM’s Workforce Development Program to train early childhood professionals in inclusive care and sensory-informed education• Establishing both for-profit and nonprofit arms to ensure long-term sustainability and community impact• Creating content and storytelling platforms to shift cultural narratives around neurodivergence and inclusionDSM is more than a facility—it’s a movement. A place where sensory play meets advocacy, family support meets innovation, and children of all abilities are celebrated, empowered, and seen.
