IPEI’s support of Ithaca educators and students is both inspiring and personal for me. My partner grew up in Ithaca, graduating from both Ithaca High School and Cornell University. We moved back here in 2021 to be closer to her family and we’re both excited for our 2-year-old to be a second generation Ithaca City School District student! As an Education Consultant, I’ve been fortunate to work with teachers and schools across the country and globally from Juneau to Kansas City, New Haven to Oakland, Australia to China focusing on culturally responsive teaching, authentic assessment, and educational equity. In my role as Executive Director of IPEI, I utilize this experience to strengthen partnerships, leverage opportunities, and engage community members to further build upon Ithaca’s love for learning.
