ABOUT MEHMET AYPEK
Mehmet has M.Sc. Metallurgical Engineering degree and he has experienced since 1997 in ductile, grey iron, steel sand casting, aluminum die casting, heavy forgings and their heat treatment, management systems, and supply chain processes. He audited many forging, casting houses and HT facilities for technical capability review in the U.S, Europe, Canada, and China. He used DMAIC, PFMEA, KAIZEN, 5S, 8D and other problem solving techniques. His rewards are; Project originator of Winning Team of “Improving Profitability” in Rolls-Royce Energy, Inc. in 2014. He originated a project to change main casting structure material from grey iron to ductile iron. The cost decreased 44% and the delivery time was improved 6 weeks. He was the finalist in “SAFE Award 2008” among employees in ThyssenKrupp Stainless, GmbH. He was the winner of the slogan competition at Componenta-TR in “Cost reduction is our power for competitiveness”. He won a scholarship from Componenta (former Doktas) while attending MSc.
