I provide quality patient and family centered care to acutely ill and injured children, adolescents and their families visiting the ER. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, rapid pediatric assessments, triage based on CTAS ensuring timely effective care. Administering life saving medical therapies, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and health education for clients and their families.The role continues to significantly build my confidence, clinical judgement and adaptability in managing severely ill pediatric patients and efficiently respond to crisis and disaster situations.

ABOUT INARA SHAH
I have graduated with a Masters in Public Health with specialization in Epidemiology and Applied Biostatistics from the University of Alberta, Canada. I also hold a degree of Bachelors of Science in Nursing with a Dean\'s Honor Roll and distinctions in Community Health Nursing, Nursing Research and Sciences from the Aga Khan University, Pakistan. Through public health service I have developed specific interest in improving quality of life for people from marginalized communities especially children, adolescents and women. Having worked with communities from low and middle income countries I strived to improve health education on (non)-communicable diseases, evidence-based practices and health frameworks. I have advocated for equitable opportunities for women and nutritional wellbeing for children. I have conducted literature reviews, synthesis and rapid reviews to support evidence generation for population health interventions.Through my clinical practice I have served in tertiary healthcare departments such as Anesthesiology and Operating Rooms. Moreover, I have significant experience working in Cardiac ICUs, Medical/Surgical units, Obstetrics/Genecology, Outpatient services and Acute/Emergency care. As a public health enthusiast and clinician my work experiences have instilled in me skills such as team playing, mediation, emergency response, priority care management, use of research software (STATA), engagement with stakeholders and community resource mobilization.
